The Twins First Photo Shoot

Seven weeks prem' I couldn't believe how tiny they were. Elizabeth weighed in at four pounds two ounces and Lucinda was two pounds fourteen. They stayed on the Special Care Baby Unit at Leighton Hospital for their first three weeks.

I wanted some photographs whilst they were so tiny but I couldn't face all the rigmarole of going to a studio. All the hassle of taking the girls, the buggy, feeding bottles, nappies and the hundred and one other essentials that go into a babies day out! Then having to find a parking spot and waiting around in an unfamiliar high street studio.

Then I heard about Total Portraits. They come to your home and take professional photographs at realistic prices. I booked them to come at a time best for me. The shoot was an absolute joy. Everything was so relaxed. As a new mum I was feeling frumpy, but the photographer was just great and took some beautiful shots off the three of us. I could not believe these pictures were taken in my home!

Best of all there was no hard sell. We got the proofs back two days later and I could look at them at my leisure. In the end I bought a CD of all the images at full resolution. I could get unlimited prints from these and we had one enlarged and framed for the lounge. This all cost a third of what we were quoted at the studio in town for just one picture!

Time flies by so quickly and those cherished moments will never happen again. My girls have grown so quickly and I have the pictures of those captured moments that were so magical.
